Nobody’s perfect, but we do try to practice what we preach. We thought it might be useful to say what we mean by that.

At SaltaSustainable we believe in being as environmentally and ethically conscious as we can. Fortunately this has business benefits too – we have become more efficient and cut down wastage across many areas of the business. We have taken a good look at what we buy and cut down on things we really don’t need. We have replaced disposal items with re-usables. Where we do buy, we source environmental and ethically traded whenever possible. For example, we use business stationery and other office goods (pens etc) made from recycled sources (e.g. FSC certified), and all our tea and coffee is either Fairtrade or Rainforest Alliance. We have cut our car and air miles, and generally travel by rail, bus and bike for essential journeys. We are also obsessive about turning things off that are not in use; we have a 'green' electricity supplier (renewable energy); we bank and have business insurance with more responsible companies; and of course we recycle our waste. Having reduced and replaced as much as possible, we have offset our remaining carbon emissions. If you have any other suggestions for 'greening up' our business, please let us know.
